Looking for a Solution to Replace One or More Missing Teeth?

Although everyone isn’t a candidate for dental implants, it’s an excellent choice for most patients who have good general and oral health.  Dental implants are superior to removable dental prosthetics or fixed bridgework.

If you’d like to learn more, here’s a quick rundown of the treatment sequence:

Step 1 – Place the Implant “Root.”

The first phase of the procedure is to place a titanium implant into the bone of the jaw to secure your future restoration.  This implant acts as a replacement for your missing root. When an implant is placed, your bone needs time to fuse to the implant, through a process called osseointegration. This healing process often takes 4 to 6 months.

Step 2 – Attach the Abutment

An abutment is an extension post that connects to the implant once the bone has healed and the implant is secure.  It’s a support structure to join the implant to the new tooth or teeth that will sit above the gum line.

Step 3 – Complete the Restoration

After the crown is returned from the dental laboratory, it’s attached to the previously placed abutment. or restoration is attached.  Your new tooth will look as natural as your others.
