Why You Shouldn’t Avoid The Dentist Due To Cost

It’s easy to avoid visiting us because of the financial cost of treatment. However, when patients put off minor, inexpensive treatments it often leads to a more invasive, costly procedure to fix the problem in the future.

I realize that a dental visit isn’t always on your list of favorite things to do.

Sadly, only 35% of working-age American adults visit a dentist regularly, and my guess is it fell even lower recently due to COVOD-19.

Cost is the biggest reason people choose not to see their dentists regardless of their age group and regardless of access to insurance. Although there are many great things to spend your hard-earned money on, there are few that are as important as your oral health. That new outfit or pair of shoes is nice, but it’s not something you wear every day. On the other hand, you use your teeth multiple times a day and they should be cared for accordingly. Consider your teeth one of your most valuable assets!

Investing in your oral health pays off in more ways than one.

Keeping your teeth healthy can boost your self-confidence, increase your overall health, and require only minimal expenditures when you visit our office.

Poor oral health can result in loss of teeth, health issues, low self-esteem, and the need for more expensive and major dental work. So, if you’ve been avoiding your visit due to financial concerns, please call our office at 828-631-3283. We’d be happy to step you through the financial options we provide so you can continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

    Sincerely,
    David S. McGuire, DDS
